OUR MISSION

At Bags & Badges, our mission is to make a meaningful and lasting impact in our first responder & military communities through our Cornhole Tournament Fundraisers. We believe in bringing people together from all walks of life for a fun and competitive event while raising funds to support our cause.

Our organization’s primary goal is to raise funds for first responders & military families in their time of financial hardship potentially due to a death in the family or any other catastrophic incident, and one way we do that is by hosting tournaments to assist other non-profit organizations with similar goals as well as corporate events to fund our mission. Through the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie, our cornhole tournaments serve as a platform to raise awareness and generate financial resources to address the challenges faced by the families in need.

We strive to foster a sense of unity and collaboration among participants, volunteers, and sponsors, who work together to make a positive difference. By organizing a thrilling event, we create an inclusive and enjoyable environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and the forging of new friendships.

In December of 2021, we hosted our first ever Cornhole Tournament & Toy Drive for Calvary Summit Church Fontana, and it was an enormous success. Not only did we assist the church with keeping their doors open but spread joy to the children of the community with the gifts that were donated.

Since then, we have hosted and are scheduled to host numerous cornhole tournaments for such charities and causes as Paws 4 Success, 809 Fight For Awareness/First Rung, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Inland Empire, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County, LAPD Memorial Foundation,  LA County Sheriffs Relief Association, Riverside County Sheriffs Relief Association, LA County Sheriffs Athletic Association, Chicano Correctional Workers Association, LAPD Rampart Division, El Monte Police Officers Foundation, LAPD Mission Division, and LAPD Commercial Crimes Division just to name a few.  In addition, we also participate in many other charity events supporting first responders, military veterans, and the community.

In addition to hosting and participating in charity events, we also host the cornhole competition for the United States Police & Fire Championships, the Nevada Police and Fire Games, and the all new North American Fall Classic. Furthermore, we have, and will continue to host community events for groups like the Rotary Club of Fontana, as well as corporate events for the Cal Coast Young Professionals Organization and the Costa Mesa ASCCA.

Our efforts extend beyond the tournament though, as we actively collaborate with local organizations, community leaders, and dedicated volunteers to provide effective resources and support to those in need.

To accomplish these goals takes time and resources though, so in addition to hosting these cornhole events, we solicit local businesses for donations via US mail, in person, and electronically. We have also created a website (Bagsnbadges.org) where individuals can view pictures of past events, find out about our upcoming events, and make monetary donations through our online donation portal. We also solicit other non-profit organizations for donations with similar missions and goals such as the Riverside Sheriffs Relief Association. In addition, we have plans to apply for government grants in the future to maximize the amount of assistance we can offer to those in need.

With our Cornhole Tournament Fundraisers, we envision a community that is empowered, resilient, and compassionate. We believe that by combining the excitement of friendly competition with a shared commitment to social good, we can make a lasting impact and inspire positive change.
